Another atrocity from the authorities, is recorded  on Sunday,  July 12,  with the demolition of the refugee camp, their last shelter. The emigrants to whom we have shown our warm "hospitality" all these years. Before dawn a vast number of cops excluded access to the region, arrested whoever was inside the refugee camp -emigrants and 4 greeks who were there in solidarity to them- and then the whole mechanism of central and local State authorities operated harmonically -prefecture (nomarchy)/urban planning (with bulldozers), Electricity and Water Supply Services- flattened the few huts that where still standing after the fire which just "burst out" at the duration of the operation. One more, brutal assault, that deepens the rupture  between the fighting parts of the society that resist and the state mechanisms.

On Friday, April the 18th, immiggrants(mainly from Bulgaria and Bangladesh) used by local landlords for the collection of strawberries in New Manolada(a town close to the Port of Patras), went on strike. On the next day they demonstrated in the streets of the village to protest against their exploitation for a lot less than the minimum wage and the harsh working and living conditions they have to put up with in order to survive. As it may have been expected, during their protest they were confronted by the landlords who tried to terrorize them with physical attacks, as well as, verbal abuse and intimidation resulting to many protesters being injured. On Sunday most of the workers have returned to work, after accepting the landlords' proposal for 26 euros/day.

Tuesday 29.01 Unprecedented demonsration in the city of Patras, with 2,5-3.000 migrants and locals demonstrating throughout the city and all the way back to the migrant settlement.

Thursday 24.01 Solidarity demonstration in the centre of Patras.

Wednesday 23.01 Gathering in protest of the migrant pogrom, targeting the visiting president of the greek parliament. Earlier, the police was surounding the settlement and giving the migrants only a few hours before knocking it to the ground.

Monday 21.01 The migrant settlement close to the Port of Patras is constantly surrounded by the police.

On the morning of Thursday the 8^th of November, 14-year old M.H had hidden under a truck parked in the port of Patras, which was ready to embark a boat to Italy. During a check, an officer of the port police started stabbing him with a knife. Despite his screams, the officer continued stabbing him, swearing at him at the same time.

According to a denunciation the Network for Social and Political Rights, another officer of the Port Security was present in the hospital room of the injured 14 year old, interrogating him and entirely ignoring the physical and mental health state of M.H. We wholeheartedly agree with, and copy part of the statement of the self-governed haunt of Ano Polis in Patras:

In the bosses' world, we are all migrants

“...Our solidarity to migrants does not derive from some philanthropic feeling (like with the various humanitarian NGOs and the church, acting as the sovereignty's allibi) nor for their emergence to some sort of a new revolutionary subject, trying to gain some political surplus from them (like various political parties and groups try to do). This solidarity is part of our struggle on the side of all the repressed, against the state and the capital, which produce and increase distinctions and inequalities. For a world without papers, borders, states, homelands, exploitation. For a world of freedom".

The Port Security immediately tried to denounce their responsibility for the attack, “leaking” to the corporate press that some of the trucks' drivers was responsible for the stabbing.
